We're throwing our second Geeks and Gamers Festival this weekend. We set out displays of sci-fi and fantasy books, sure, but the big draw is the games. I'm putting up some classic board games and we're having three video game tournaments: Guitar Hero II, Burnout 3: Takedown, and Super Smash Bros. Melee. Winners get a copy of Harry Potter 7 and a Gamestop Gift Card. Should be fun. --Brandon Robbins, Young Adult Librarian, Wayne County Public Library, Goldsboro NC

I'm working on Greg Trefry's idea of a photo scavenger hunt game called "Then and Now" to be included in the Texas Teens Read summer reading program manual for 2009. I'd be grateful to know if anyone else has implemented "Then and Now" in any form, and how it went!
